Rooted in Purpose: Trusting GOD to Establish Our Steps

“Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” — Proverbs 16:3

Welcome, lovely people! I’m so grateful you’re here. Today, I want to take a moment to reflect on a powerful truth—one that’s been both my anchor and my inspiration in building She Blooms Here. It’s found in Proverbs 16:3: “Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and HE will establish your plans.” This verse has helped me remember that, no matter the twists and turns, our lives truly hold a purpose greater than ourselves.

Finding Strength in Our Roots

The concept of “roots” holds deep meaning for me. Roots keep us grounded, connected to the foundation that sustains us. Just as a tree relies on its roots for nourishment and stability, we too find strength in being rooted in something that doesn’t shift or fade. For me, those roots are in GOD’s Word and the promise that HE is working through every season of life—even the challenging ones.

Looking back, my journey has been marked by both loss and grace. Growing up without my parents by my side was incredibly painful, but GOD provided (Amen!!), placing people in my life who became family, who showed me the depth of HIS love. And as I continued to seek HIM, I discovered that HE had a purpose even for my hardest experiences. HE took those roots of pain and, in HIS goodness, used them to plant seeds of resilience, love, and purpose. If you’re here, perhaps you’ve experienced similar struggles, and I want you to know that you’re not alone. Whatever you’re facing, GOD is there, inviting you to root yourself in HIS love and HIS promises.

Reasons to Keep Going

When we look at life’s challenges through the lens of faith, we see something beautiful. We see that GOD has reasons for the paths HE leads us down, even the ones that feel steep or filled with obstacles. Our reasons for pressing forward become clear when we look at our lives as part of a larger story—one written by the GOD who created us and calls us HIS own.

This blog exists because I believe we all need that reminder sometimes. When life feels overwhelming, uncertain, or just plain tough, I want this space to be a source of encouragement. Here, you’ll find stories, practical tools, and reflections to help you face each day with faith and hope. Whether you’re blooming right where you are or still feeling like you’re just breaking through the soil, know that God sees you, loves you, and has a purpose for you. Also reach out and share with me through social media or directly so I can “see” you too and show you love.

Committing Your Dreams to God

Proverbs 16:3 is a reminder that our lives, our dreams, our hopes and our plans become their most fruitful when we commit them to GOD. Sometimes that’s easier said than done, right? Girl I know, but when we release our plans to GOD, we open ourselves to something incredible. GOD doesn’t just establish our plans; HE refines them, shaping them into something even greater than we could imagine. HIS ways are higher than ours, and HIS timing, while sometimes hard to understand, is always perfect.

Wherever you find yourself today, I encourage you to pause and think about what you’re holding onto. Are there dreams or goals you’re trying to carry alone? Perhaps there are challenges that have left you feeling weary or unsure of the way forward. Whatever it is, GOD is waiting with open arms, ready to walk beside you. Commit it all to HIM, trusting that HE will establish your steps.

Rooted Together, Growing Together

As you journey with me through She Blooms Here, my hope is that you’ll find encouragement to stay rooted, to seek purpose, and to hold fast to the ONE who never lets us down. Together, let’s commit our lives, our dreams, and our challenges to GOD, trusting that HE will guide us toward HIS good purposes. Here, in this space, let’s remind one another that even when life feels uncertain, GOD has already established the way.

Thank you for being here, for taking this time to pause, to reflect, and to root yourself in GOD’s truth. Let’s keep blooming together, one step at a time, knowing that HE is with us every step of the way.
